"Characterized by officials as an experienced backcountry traveler."
This 24 year old backcountry traveler knew that avalanche warnings were high. He knew that he had no business traveling in that area. And yet, he went. He paid for his travel in that area with his young life. And now his family and friends will suffer the grief of loosing him. For the rest of us, follow the avalanche warnings. They are there for a good reason. This is a terrible loss.
