Bad policy, and a bad bill need to be defeated. Even if it has the support of a very vocal and very small minority of people.

And, it is nice to point out that it would ban discrimination against those who supported or opposed issues such as Prop. 8. However, the only discrmination that came out of that was intimidation bordering on violence against people who exercised their constitutional right to peacefully try to stop actions that violated their religious and/or moral beliefs.

No special benefits for any select groups- be it Moderate Mormon Mothers, or Left Handed Latvian-American Lesbians.

"All legislators were invited to the discussion and several showed up, including Senate Majority Leader Scott Jenkins, R-Plain City, who questioned the need for such a law.

"Why not make a law that says we don't discriminate against Jewish women, females, over the age of 50?" he asked the panel."

Um - we already have laws for that. Just as we already have laws saying you can't discriminate against Mormon men, males, over the age of 60.

Why do we have an elected official who is so unaware of state and federal law? Especially one who owns a business where signs stating the law are supposed to be posted where all employees can read them?

Comments as ridiculous as his not only make him look bad, they make those who support him and whose positions he supports look bad.

Sorry Charlie!
