Rubbish!!

If "Positive music can inspire, heal, uplift and enlighten" then the solution is to pump positive music into the prisons, bars, psych wards, public schools, etc 24 hours per day and we'll have no problems.

Music doesn't cause people to love or to hate, to kill or to redeem. If there was even a thread of truth to your assumption then we would be desperately trying to clean up and rebuild the poorest habitations. We'd be running to make the worst slums beautiful places. We don't because we don't believe that a beautiful environment determines uplifting behavior.

Music and lyrics are just sounds without a mind to supply meaning. Whether it hears sounds that reinforce good behavior from positive lyrics or it learns the costs of bad behavior from negative, our minds learn grow and form our outlook on the world.

Music is neutral communication until it has a context. Garage band alt rock can inspire more than MoTab if we place it in a proper mental and spiritual context.

Bad music doesn't make bad thoughts, bad thoughts make bad thoughts.
