Yahoo automatically deletes an email address after 4 months of inactivity so, since I have received spam from deleted addresses that were once in my contacts, I keep my late son's account active by having it linked to mine, occasionally clearing out his spam folder. I memorialize him through the blogspot site I set up for him, sharing my less & less frequent posts on Facebook. Gaia let me access his profile & informed me they never delete accounts. I renew his Legacy obituary each year & may eventually let it go or pay the higher permanent filing fee.
