Money and technology wasn't needed for Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Robert Fulton, Alexander Graham Bell, Mark Twain, Wright Brothers, or Albert Einstein.

Money isn't a fix all solution.

Worf that was the worst argument I have ever heard.

We could all be cavemen still. No government intruding in our lives.

Yeah that is the ticket.

Last year our legislature set aside future money for roads but did nothing for education but cut funding. They actually had the gall to earmark future tax growth money for roads!

Incredible.

Our kids should be the prime focus this session. Being last place in per pupil spending is finally catching up to us. Our teachers have held it together during the last 10 years but they can't keep it going forever.

Time for the legislature to step up and make public education the #1 priority. And by public ed I don't mean charter schools or vouchers. I mean good old fashioned neighborhood schools that are the rock of the community.

What is worf talking about? Every one of those guys needed money and lots of it. Several of them invented technology but they were using the current technology to invent new technology. Money and technology are two of the most important things we can provide for a great education.

Students don't need more gizmos or better ways to test, they need more teachers! FUND SMALLER CLASS SIZES!!!!

Lifelong Republican,

"worst argument I have ever heard."

We hold the worlds record for education funding, and we have:

* half of our people on welfare.
* half of our college students need remedial classes.
* high unemployment and national debt.
* foreign countries leading us in technology and businesses.

This is not the result of an educated society.

The money and technology card has been played so many times with little result.

People are blind to the easy solutions, which is not more and more spending. Yikes!
