Wow, and to do so so shortly after losing their best player?

Blind squirrel, meet nut.

Chubbuck, Idaho

Wow ASU must be terrible or the Utes are getting better. I think I'll stay with the first premise.

I think we finally got the right coach.

Ute Attendance: 9,092
Pepperdine Attendance: 3,104
(plus the "60 million" glued to their TV sets, of course)

Wow, is ASU really that bad? The Pac is so dismal it's laughable.

Bottom Line
Draper, UT

I am speechless. Congrats to Utah. Definitely exceeding expectations. Serious question though. How bad is ASU?

"blind squirrel, meet nut."

Coug fan, meet the fifth time this analogy has been used by your fan base this season. That blind squirrel just seems to keep finding one more nut, doesn't it.

Thanks for the obsession though, little brother :)

Utah 64, Arizona State 43
BYU 77, Pepperdine 64
USU leads Idaho 33-28
Utah Valley 72, North Dakota 64
Southern Utah 58, Indiana-Purdue--Fort Wayne 56
Dixie State 84, Hawaii Pacific 68

Weber State and Westminster were off.

If USU can pull it out, the state of Utah could go 6-0 today.

The only close stat this year between Utah and BYU is whether Utah's win total will be more or less than the Cougars losses for the year. Even right now at 4

Sorry bad me they are currently tied at 5 wins Utah 5 losses BYU

I watched about 10 minutes of the Pepperdine game today on my channel #9403 and Pepperdine seriously looked like this was their first practice...lousy shooting, no set offenses, just good old rag tag basketball. Hard to watch!

I wonder if recruiting non-LDS basketball players will be tough in the future at these mini venues and against some really bad teams? Glad it's you..glad it aint us!! A win, win???

If there were 9,000 fans in the HC, why are half the seats in the lower bowl empty? Are lots of Crimson Club members coming disguised as empty red chairs nowadays?

btw, before you get too excited about your big home victory over ASU, consider, even Pepperdine beat the Sun Devils, in Tempe.

Good game Utes!

Bountiful, UT

Coach Krystko should be named the coach of the year. To win 5 games and 2 in the conference (and not be in last in the conference) is quite an accomplishment vs. what the Utes looked like to begin the year.

I know its not great, but it is hope and in a season like this, that is all we can ask for.

I would love to celebrate your win, but . . .

In the old Conference of Champions, the PAC10 breezed through the non-conference schedule, played some epic games between Arizona, UCLA and others, and regularly put a team in the Final Four.

In the new PAC12, a team that gets crushed by Montana St, Boise St, UNC Asheville, Fresno St and Cal State Fullerton and loses their best player is still 21 points better than Arizona State.

This is not a time to celebrate the rebirth of the Utes, but simply an indictment of how bad the PAC12 has become.

Salt Lake City, UT

CougarFaninTx expressed envy that the Utes are in the PAC 12 "This is not a time to celebrate the rebirth of the Utes, but simply an indictment of how bad the PAC12 has become."

Actually, it IS a time to celebrate the rebirth of the Utes. The Utes can't control the quality of teams in the PAC 12. They can only control their own team. Coach K released the Utes leading scorer (leading scorer, not best player) and the team had a choice. They could rise to the challenge, or quit. They choose to come out with fight and determination. Is this season lost? Sure. But they way the Utes are playing now is a great foundation for next year.

I would love to celebrate your win, but . . .

The but shouldn't be followed by rambling about the PAC 12. The but shoud be followed with 'but I can't stand anything positive relating to University of Utah and will always make a negative post regardless of the situation'.

Besides, none of the Utah fans invited you to celebrate with us anyway.

Where's Stockton ???

Wow...Way to go Utah...Now that's really got to hurt down there in the valley of the sun. This Cougar fan is a little bit impressed.
