Good article.
It really is a fine line to be friends with someone who has strayed. Friends make a difference. I think it is important to stay strong yourself. Have a couple of friends who are strong with you and be friends with the one who needs you. Do a check within your friends to make sure you are staying strong while helping the one who needs it. It would have made a huge difference with a couple of my children if they had strong LDS friends who still was their friend while they were teenagers. Instead we had a ward where there were clicks, even among the adults. It was hard for me to stay active. It still is hard to think about.
