I sure hope recruiting is going well . . .

And USU lost to powerhouse Seattle. Weber State might be the only team to get a bid this year.

*yawn* Silly Ute fan. The same mediocre LMU team owned UCLA @ Pauley Pavilion in double digits when UCLA was nationally ranked. Last time I checked UCLA was a member of.....low and behold.....the Pac12!

They also own a win over another top 25 program this season. Let's see....what team was that.....oh yes, it was St Louis and they're coached by none other than the Walrus, Rick Majerus (former Utah coach).

Btw, anymore players get kicked off the team (indefinitely or definitely) or announce they're leaving the program? It's been a whole couple of days since the last one.

And LMU did came close to beating SMC last weak.

big coug.

And they beat them who beat those guys who lost to that team who beat whoever.

That type of arguement is so weak.

All Ute fans know how bad our team is this year and we also know that the PAC12 as a whole is down this year. Your team is better than our team this year so be happy with that.

The WCC is still ranked below the PAC12 and next year every PAC12 game will be on TV. I'm happy that you're all happy with the mighty WCC because you weren't invited by any other conference to join them. Too bad byu burned bridges with the MWC because they are the strongest conference in the west.

It's not important to me what LMU's record is but it is a big blow to byu to lose to them on their home court. It will hurt your chances of getting into the NCAA tournament and it will hurt their seeding if they do manage to still get in.

But if it makes you feel better to list off who beat who, then go ahead.

Honor Code: You shouldn't open yourself up like that. Especially with your little team spiraling further down each day. I think you really should have said - sad day to be a ute.

I thought this was a story about the University of Utah's basketball game. So why the obsession with BYU's game and conference? Never mind. I think we already know the answer to that. Isn't that right, little brothers?

Even on an absolutely horrible night of shooting, 2 of 25 from 3pt, the Cougars managed to score 68 points, which is only 4 points less than Utah's highest scoring game this season.

BYU - 80.1 ppg, 14th
Utah - 56.4 ppg, 336th

Over half of BYU's roster are Freshmen, including a starter and several regular bench players, yet BYU is still ranked #36 Sagarin, #30 Pomeroy. Utah is ranked #299 Sagarin, #331 Pomeroy.

What's your excuse?

Remember last year when the BYU team with the great Jimmer lost to UCLA? And it was not close! No seniors on that UCLA team, a program with as many national championships as BYU has tournament wins.....15 in the NBA....

@Qwest

The Pac 12 isn't just down this year. It's been going on for a while now. Its a trend and whether or not this year is rock bottom remains to be seen. Anyways, it was a ute fan (Honor Code) that started the competition smack in the first place.

Since you brought it up, methinks thou doth protest too much. You're quick to put down "who played who" then in another breath you go to the "my conference is better than your conference". That would be a good discussion if you weren't the absolute joke of your conference (and you'd also be an absolute joke if you were in the WCC as well).

I'm not sure why you think it's too bad we burned bridges with the MWC. What advantage is there to playing in that conference? We left and they dropped from a 3 bid conference to a 2 bid conference. You left and there's not even a ripple in their pond.

So, even though BYU & Utah are both in the middle of rebuilding years (which means we'll win 25 games instead of the usual 30) we're still looking at a potential NCAA bid. You're looking at squat.

@slim

And what has UCLA done lately? I thought utah fans didn't believe in past tradition and history for other programs?

Look, I understand that Utah fans know all about games that are not even close (heaven knows they've played enough of them this year for a lifetime) but I thought I'd give you a history lesson. UCLA won in LA over BYU by 7 pts. Now I know by Ute standards that's considered a win when they lose by only 7 pts, but in most other books that's a close game. BYU lost that close game just a week after waxing another Pac 12 team, Arizona by 22 pts.

AFter the job that WCC and the MWC has done on the Pac 12 the past few seasons, it's looking like taking Pac12 teams behind the woodshed is more or less routine. Next thing you know, the Big SKy Conference and the WAC will be doing the same.
