Shouldn't there really be some sort of statute of limitations for appeals and retrials? After 25 years how can any witnesses be expected to remember anything?
All this delay delay delay in our legal system only costs the taxpayers money.
I believe that the system needs to have some fixing done to it. All the time it takes for a person given the death pently it just drags out too long and their is no closurse for the family that has lost a love one. On the other side of the coin we must have a check and balance too make sure that the right person pays for the crime. I for one that think everything should be pick into one time appeal, that the taxpayers aren't burden with the high cost of keeping a person on death row awaiting his time to meet the death that was order by the courts. I can also understand when the family has lost faith with the justice system when it drags out for a long period of time.
Twenty Five Years?! Can the 'new' evidence prove his innocence? if not, then enough is enough.
