Wait.. I thought God told him to run for President of United States.

If the Party nominates Ginrich it will be making a grave error.

There is no question that Gingrich is a brilliant debater and an awesome communicator. He claims he will challenge Obama to seven three-hour debates. How stupid does he think Obama is? Does he really think Obama will agree to seven debates? He'll be lucky if he gets three.

Debates are only one small part of a campaign. They aren't the be all and end all. They WON'T determine the election.

I worked on the Hill when Gingrich was in the House. I thought he was great. That's before I found out how unstable, volatile, immoral and downright mean he is. On top of that, he's a lousy executive. Those who worked with him in Congress are NOT supporting him.

He cannot debate his way to the presidency. His baggage will finish him and Obama will be re-elected.

And now another candidate leaves, narrowing the field.

Anyone who can support Gingrich doesn't appear top me to care muich about commitment, fidelity or doing what's right, rather they are interested in self, expediency, hypocrisy and whatever else in convenient at the moment.

A person who has lived a disciplined life will likely make a better president. Newt is the poster child, along with the current Chief, for everything that's wrong in Washington.

I wonder what Perry, Gingrich, Paul, and the others are going to say when they eventually end up endorsing Romney?

ROMNEY all the way! Gingrich so-called newt-mentum will be stalled and killed by his ex-wife's upcoming interview!

Didn't Perry say in the Iowa debate that if you cheat on your wife you'll cheat on anyone? Yet now he is endorsing the three-timer Newt? Did he change his mind?

Reply: "THEY WON'T". Count on that. The GOP are fired in 2012. Live with it. One person, one vote is the foundation of our democracy. But two years ago, the Supreme Court decided to test the integrity of that foundation with dynamite - the Citizens United ruling. The result? A massive flood of shadowy, unregulated corporate money polluting our elections. Led by Karl Rove and his American Crossroads groups, the right wing is using this ruling to spend millions on disgusting attacks against candidates like Sherrod Brown and Elizabeth Warren. If successful, they will take the White House and Senate, meaning complete Republican control of government. But a group of Democratic senators has introduced an amendment to reverse Citizens United. It would repeal the effects of this terrible ruling and revoke the ability of corporations and Karl Rove to skew the 2012 elections with unregulated cash.

I told you I would tell you the truths.

I didn't say you would like it.

3 of 5 new polls today have Gingrich in front in South Carolina. This debate is going to be crucial since Gingrich made up that 10 point deficit in the last debate.

And I'm not even sure what the interviewed guy is thinking... Santorum will finish 4th in South Carolina. From the RCP poll of polls...

NBC News/Marist (1/16-1/17) Romney 34 Gingrich 24
Politico/Tarrance (1/17-1/18) Romney 37 Gingrich 30
Rasmussen (1/18) Gingrich 33 Romney 31
Insider Advantage (1/18) Gingrich 32 Romney 29
PPP (1/18) Gingrich 34 Romney 28

Paul gets between 11 and 16%, Santorum between 10 and 14%.

Now we are down to one guy who does questionable things with his money, versus one guy who does questionable things with his women.
Add in two other guys who have some real strange questionable stuff they are trying to promote.
Obama 2012!

God did not tell him to run but his wealth and privalage are key to his running. Funny he is only hanging on a string and most likley will lose the nomination. What a waste of money.

"Didn't Perry say in the Iowa debate that if you cheat on your wife you'll cheat on anyone?"

He (Perry) sure did.

And what's good for the goose (Cain) is also good for the gander (Noot). Looks like his infidelity might catch up with him in the nick of time.

Gingrich is the prototypical Washington DC insider who will perpetuate the status quo - big time. He talks a good line, and is the master of saying the right thing at the right time, but it will not fool the very savvy.

I say Romney comes out on top on Saturday.

Since Newt was doing two woman at same time for 6 years.....

Looks like it will turn into a two man race, between the Polygamous Newt and the monogamous Mitt.

"There's still a feeling he's not a good fit for them". So a guy who cheated (TWICE) on two different wives is a better fit for Christian conservatives???

They won't. They won't come right out and say it, but they don't like the idea of a Mormon President.

"Now we are down to one guy who does questionable things with his money"

The Democrats were willing to forgive Timothy Geithner for forgetting to pay his taxes before he was nominated to be US Secretary of the Treasury and so I suspect they'll forgive Romney for paying his taxes in full and then contributing to various charities.

The things that irritates liberals most about Romney is that he is faithful to his wife and knows how to handle money ...... successfully.

University of New Hampshire political science professor Dante Scala said, "What the (Perry)endorsement does do is turn the election into a two-man race between Romney and Gingrich,"

Interesting revelation. Ron Paul was third in the Iowa voting; a mere 3000 votes behind Romney and Santorum. So, because of that vote, the scholarly professor reasons that we noe have a two man race between Romney and Gingrich?

Now, I ain't very smart, not like all these here high falutin political science professors and such. And I knows that my math skills isn't all up to snuff and whatever, but ain't this here Ron Paul dude still in the runnin?

@Jonathan Eddy
"So, because of that vote, the scholarly professor reasons that we noe have a two man race between Romney and Gingrich?"

RCP poll of polls
South Carolina: Romney 31.8 Gingrich 30.6 Paul 14.4 Santorum 12.0
Florida: Romney 40.5 Gingrich 22.0 Santorum 15.0 Paul 9.0
National: Romney 31.6 Gingrich 19.4 Paul 14.4 Santorum 14.2

I think that is the reason he thinks what he does. Especially when Santorum ends up dropping out and endorsing Gingrich (because we know full well that santorum and perry are much more closely aligned to Gingrich than Paul, after all, Paul fans have long been saying that Paul being so different is what makes him special... it's also what hinders his ability to get above 25% anywhere).

Ron Paul doesn't expect to win. He sees himself as the leader of a movement--not president. What he really wants is to go to the convention with a good chunk of delegates and get some important concessions in the platform, etc. That's where it is.
