That is Dugway for you non activist and extremists. Good work Tooele, note that Pueblo and Blue Grass would probably have their mission completed if the they would have taken the sensible approach instead of being lead by HEAL,CARE and the Sierra Club.

Will this also put an end to the searching for the chemical weapons that disappeared through the years?

@Iket
You obviously don't understand the mission of a "Proving Ground". Dugway tests things such as chemical defense systems and detection instruments etc. The government and the military buy vehicles, machines, test instruments...you name it. The manufacturer makes certain claims like the item can withstand a certain blast, will protect soldiers from being exposed to certain chemicals/nerve agents etc. Dugway tests these items to see if the claims are true and should taxpayer dollars should be spent in purchasing said product.
Dugway does not make it...it tests it.

The significant event is that the 43% of the U.S. stockpile of Chemical Weapons that were sitting around for about half a century. They are now gone from Utah and that is a significant event. Thanks to all who helped get rid of them in a safe and environmentally friendly as they were. It takes a lot of good and dedicated people to ensure this was done in a professional manner. What a good feeling for those people who ran the operation and with government oversight. Thanks to Utah for their support and help for our country.
