Ah yes, another Republican apppointee fills a seat in the legislature. Is this democracy at its best or what?

"Weiler sought the open Senate seat in part because he was displeased with the redistricting process state lawmakers went through last fall." Well, maybe he's better than the average Republican appointee of late - still there's no democracy here.

I wish they would stop putting lawyers in positions of representation, we already have a department of justice, we don't need the justice department it in two branches of government. That's why there are so many problems in our legal and justice system, too many lawyers trying to write the laws and forget they are supposed to representing the people.

I think we need to write laws to ensure the separations of power of government to remain segregated by making it illegal for a lawyer to run for representative positions of government. They can't give up their lawyer jobs and it has been devastating our country's representatives for the people. Lawyers work for the justice department and I find it a critical conflict of interest for them to be a representative for any other purpose.

The justice system of government has been too overpowering of citizens rights and lawyers lack the ability to separate and represent two departments of government so they become one without any representation of the people.
