Huntsman got less than 20% of the vote. This is hardly a good showing. It is definantly not looking like the first step on the path to victory.

Huntsman was a great Governor. But something has happened to inflate his ego and deflate his awareness of reality.

Geez guys, be nice to your fellow Mormon and former Gov. I think that JBQ from St. Louie said it best: He ran a strange campaign. I had high hopes for him, I felt he connected better when campaigning. But Mitt has loosened up his scripted tightness and if he's the candidate ultimately, he better really connect in my freaky state.

I just expected a little more civility from the people who claim sole residence in God's prime celestial real estate. Give it a rest and stop disparaging Huntsman on a personal level. We can do that with any subject, including Mitt's ancestors (PPP) and religion. I know how to, I'm 7th generation. Some posts here simply axe Huntsman because he doesn't pass their personal smell test. If religion is your issue, let's have open season here and relax your censor's grip. I was a Mormon for 35 years and ran every program and potluck while in your camp. But the minute I followed God's answers to my personal prayers, I was dispised, villified and castigated. I should write the book, but there is a better message to share.

Leave it a good man who served his country.

I have been a little cautious about Governor Huntsman running without his heart into it, especially when he is criticizing Governor Romney as Newt Gingrich does. It will be interesting to see what happens in South Carolina with Romney and Huntsman both targets for Newt Gingrich. If Romney's worth is $250 million after 60+ years working and the president of Apple made $350 million in one year, and bankers, other investors make pretty good and types of salaries with benefits, such as President Obama's new chief of staff from CITI bank. The President is against people making money? Who is going to pay taxes of businesses and families and individuals, if he has everyone on welfare? If 47 percent vote and don't pay taxes and that number has been growing over the years, who is going to pay taxes for the benefits these people get without paying taxes. We need entrepreneurs and investors along with workers to further our country as it has been developing over the past 500 years. We need to keep our nation free and that comes from good government with elected officials who either make it or get voted out the next election or so.

Thats it sheep run your mouths against one of the very best govenors you have ever had in favor of what? A foreigner? Someone that you think saved your olympics? Not! Someone that was a one term govenor in Mass that didn't run for re-election because of the unfavorable numbers who disliked his 1st term? Comes to Utah "ONLY" to pick up free money with some phony dinner and speaking engagement? When it comes to being qualified for the office of president it isn't even close-Huntsman hands down. But you sheep do what your told and live by their "good" words! What a sorry situation.

Old boonies: there's so much in your snarky post. . . Just who do you think we sheep are following? Are you indicating the Church has taken a position? Well you would be wrong! And what's with the "foreign" candidate? I guess Utahns have voted for "foreign" candidates forever. He didn't save the Olympics? News to me and to most of those who worked and volunteered in the SL Olympics.

Grace, I don't think anyone would've been so against huntsman but for the way he went after Romney from the very first interview. He is the one who has been hateful and vindictive. He also is the one who tried to distance himself from the Church, and was a little snarky about it. You can be whatever you want, but when you put on one face and then turn around and hit it so that you won't get all the criticism that Romeny is going to face, some of us don't like it.

Ahh, people here in Utah are a fickle lot. We will turn on one of our own in a heartbeat.

I happen to think the Romney has a heck of a chance to defeat Obama but I also feel pretty strongly that Huntsman is going to be sticking around for quite some time in one way or another.
