The troops are going to need more help. Obama is going to lay alot more of them off. Ironic isn't it, Obama will spend billions to make sure public employees do not get laid off. For example Police Officers. He says we must not make America less safe. I agree but getting rid of Veterans does not make America safe. The difference between Cops and Soldiers in Obamas mind is Soldiers do not have a union. You know no campaign cash!
Kudos to Zions for putting together this program. I hope other organizations follow, though having 500 applicants for the second group suggests this is a very big problem.
Some may portray Zion's program as a kamikaze mission because of excessive regulation and healthcare costs, but hiring this group of employees will stimulate demand that will lead to other jobs in the economy.
Corporate proifts are at all time highs, it won't break the bank.
Hire some non-vets, too.
