Uh huh. Go Romney! Make Wall Street proud!
Why would Romney campaign hard in Iowa after what happened in 08? I thinks he's paying the right amount of attention to Iowa folks.
Memo to Iowans: It's not just about you guys!
I hope Ron Paul puts a real scare into the Republican establishment and wins Iowa. We need a real choice in the upcoming election.
Aren't we all tired of:
Undeclared Wars
Deficit Spending
900+ overseas military installations.
Businesses which are too big to fail.
Laws that are passed before anyone reads them.
A government all too willing to spread our wealth.
A Federal Reserve that doesn't want to be audited.
Candidates who do not live up to their campaign promises.
A Federal government that doesn't follow the Constitution.
Spying on U.S. born and raised citizens without a court order.
Candidates who flip/flop their position on issues to win votes.
Huge bonuses for Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac execs while both lose money.
The main stream media (and many of his Republican opponents) want to picture Ron Paul as some sort of "nut job." They want him pictured as an extremist because he wants the Federal government to abide by and follow the tenets of the U.S. Constitution.
When did following our Constitution become considered extremist?
If our government can't follow the Constitution then we are all in BIG trouble.
The moderate Mitt may not be trying very hard in Iowa, but that hasn't stopped his "super pac" from spending almost three million dollars on anti-Gingrich attack ads in the Iowa media market. The super pac named "Restore Our Future" has run ads accusing Newt of embracing the health care individual mandate, and of being a flip flopper on the issues. (You've gotta admire the hutzpah of these the Romney supporters) The ads have knocked Newt from first to third place in the Iowa polls. It will be interesting to see what effect these violations of Reagan's eleventh commandment have on the charm challenged Romney, among the Republican faithful.
So mitt, are you implying iowa doesn't count? Its an important state, just because there are more cattle, and cornfields it seems than ppl.
Note to Mitt:
Advantageous for rich guys to learn humility. Enough, ok!
Romney is like a python, his national organization will slowly choke out the competition.
@rvalens2
Couldn't have said it better myself! Only Ron Paul stood up against the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) which completely voids portions of the Bill of Rights. Mitt Romney and all the other Republican candidates owe America an immediate and profound apology for supporting this shredding of the Constitution. You haven't taken your oath of office to uphold, defend, and protect the Constitution, but you have all demonstrated how willing you are to break that oath.
Romney's pro-larger central government, pro-non defensive wars, anti-Bill of Rights platform is hopefully not the winning proposal in Iowa or anywhere. I like Mitt, I share his religious faith, I'm glad he's less supportive of elective abortion these days. But - despite all of his business acumen - his proposed budgets still have us needlessly borrowing from China and the Arab world and his foreign policy still has us needlessly making enemies across the planet, needlessly putting out volunteer troops in harm's way and needlessly attacking innocent civilians with drones. I'm sorry but that is neither "change" nor something any of us should believe in or support.
I read someone's opinion this morning that the romney campaign was a piece of styrofoam bobbing along, a rigid structure of holes and air. Quite apt, I figure.
I hope Romney buys the White House, the current occupant is the most corrupt person ever to hold the office. He has been selling the White House for about three years now to the highest bidder,,, see Solyndra, Fast and Furious, the Obamacare sellout (cornhusker kickback among others) and to labor unions, ACORN and anybody else that will help him get elected. If Romney "bought" it we would at least have it in the hands of an honest person instead of the guy we have who is an unmitigated disaster.
40% Iowa "undecided" have waited patiently and finally know who top religious social issues candidate will be, via final Iowa Des Moines Register poll(Santorum). They will now vote like lemmings. Evangelicals generally prefer suicidal Masada than supporting candidate they perceive having an "impure" belief (abortion / trinity). No way Romney takes first in Iowa. He will be #2 or #3 and his campaign must lower expectations.
Ron Paul = Constitutional government.
A government that lives within its means. Don't you think its time?
Of course they don't have to win in Iowa. They're going to win the nomination, and then President Obama will get a 2nd term.
Duh.
Uh, bobo...no, Iowa's not that relevant. They supported Huckleberry four years ago. But NH's relatively insignificant as well. Mr. Romney's campaign is playing it smart this go-round, I believe. We'll see how it goes after S. Carolina.
