Employers of Utah should be elated, optimistic is an understatement.
Utah government "guarantees" employers of Utah with slave labor and welfare supplemented workers in order to keep Utah workers oppressed and in poverty. What more Nirvana can a company ask for than workers afraid to question being salves that work for free and expect nothing and that a job is conditional.
But what about the economy? If business is elated and fat why is the economy still depressed and sinking? Utah government is so deceptive and dysfunctional its pathetic they have to lie to claim growth. The only thing growing is fraud and profiteering, labor and jobs is still on the decline.
Not even the $1.5 billion dollars UDOT spent on the I-core made a dent in the economy, it all went to Utah developers and China and Asia manufacturing companies. Utah businesses and jobs got slammed to the ground like dead leaves falling from the sky. If Utah workers and labor got a million dollars of the 1.5B then its a lie.
What more can Utah business owners ask for than multi-million dollar ponzi and fraud schemes?
This year will start a recovery if we elect a new President. If we do America will be prosperous again, if we give Obama another four years of trying to institute European socialism we will never survive it and we too will be turning to Germany for a handout. Let's resolve that we are going to stop the slide this year.
Of course they are optimistic, new polls show BO trailing his main republican rival. Ridding the WH of BO would be the BEST thing we can do for the economy.
Open season.
Every aspect of President Obama's life has been sliced, diced and trashed by the extreme right-wing who don't like his "policies".
Fair enough.
Romney has said that "Politics is blood sport".
Whomever becomes the extreme right-wing nominee will likely face a slice, dice and trashing that will make the last three years seem like a walk in the park.
If that nominee is elected, the obstructionist extreme right-wing policies of the last three years will only be superseded by members of the Democratic Party spoiling to even the score.
What goes around comes around.
4 more years of guaranteed gridlock inspite of whomever wins the election.
Utah employers are optimistic about 2012?
"...confidence indicated by the executives in the survey should be a positive sign economically for Utah and the rest of the nation in the coming year...".
Bad news for extreme right-wing obstructionist Republicans.
Interesting that they see the economy improving. I guess they can spin it however they want it. Electing a different President may help; however, the congress does not have the courage or integrity to make the decisions that need to be made. The economy has been artificially propped up for three years with the government printing money 24/7. We are approaching 20t. in national debt. The banks are holding an enourmous amount of foreclosed properties off the market. At some point these houses will have to be put on the market and prices will drop further. The economy will not improve until we bottom out, and the bottom will come, and will make 2008 seem like an economic paradise.
But are employees optimistic? I am an employee and I am not so sure.
Does making money promote optimism?
When one gains, it is their responsibility to help those beneath them. With success comes responsibility. While I see a lot of great things from a lot of great people- I fear that closer to home I'm less sure. Perhaps I'm simply not aware of some great things being done. But what I do know is that I rarely see those who have helping those who don't, especially in my beloved home state.
What I have seen is more people begging for help. Maybe their situation is of their own accord. Maybe it isn't. All I know is that it doesn't matter why some suffer, just that they are. Now, I see more people on the streets here than I think I've ever seen in my lifetime.
I read Mosiah 4, and think about our situation. It is not something I'm pleased with.
While we may see many optimistic articles about economic growth. I believe optimism is gained in charity. Why not promote optimism by focusing more on giving? Or did that only last until December 25th?
Just a thought.
Of course they are optimistic. This is America. People who live and work here should, naturally, be optimistic. As long as there is freedom from a heavy-handed government, it will be a great place.
