I wonder if something as simple as a horn, whistle, or $10 door bell could have prevented this accident and saved the lives and injuries plaguing this Utah transportation system. It's almost a sure bet this lady was blamed for getting in front of the train and responsible for her debilitating injuries.

It seems the last thing UTA, TRAX, Front Runner and the Deseret News wants is accountability by government and SLC the owners of these transportation hazards. Instead of being accountable they come with a ridiculous argument and advertise that we have to look out for ourselves as if it was a disclaimer for killing people. They can't put any warning devices on any of the trains, its more cost effective, according to economist bean counters, to murder, maim, or kill the public than put a bell on the trains. TRAX and Front Runner is a deadly viper snake on rails that has had its rattles removed.

I am alive today to testify that warning whistles and bells on trains save lives, even on rural crossings with very limited visibility.

I'm glad she's home, I hope she heals quickly.

Ever driven southbound on I-15 after dark. The lights on Front Runner coming at you are very blinding. They should be forced to put up a light shield for one coming traffic as well as more warnings at street crossings.
