Is it just me or do the Kings seem to be destined for higher TV ratings than the Jazz?

How are Kanter and Burks jerseys selling these days?

Are you people really buying this? I love Jimmer, but Reilly probably had this article written the day after he published the first one. He realizes the hit in reads he has taken since the article and is somewhat mocking Jimmer by publishing this after the 2nd game of the pre-season. Love the Jimmer, still hate Reilly!

Rick Reilly has the class to admit he was wrong about Jimmer. Now pass the hat among the ute trolls and see if we can make it $10,000 for Jimmers charity. They don't seem capable of that level of class.

This was a silly wager to make. Even if Jimmer ends up being nothing more than "a good backup player" he would still start a game eventually for one reason or another. Maybe injuries. Maybe due to being on a terrible team which is a guarantee when you're drafted so high.

Pretty sure trolls don't have income. Wait what is Jimmer's charity of choice anyway?

Way to go Jimmer! Keep up the good work.

Jimmer was described Tuesday during the Warriors game by Jim Barnett as "the real deal". Unlike Reilly, Barnett knows talent when he sees it.

BYU has another great guard by the name of Carlino. Things look very good in Provo.

There should have been no doubt that Jimmer could play. I like the prose of Reilly but his analysis of Jimmer's ability was truly innane. Some of these blowhards really don't know sport like they think they no sport.

The bottom line is that Jimmer can shoot. He can create his own shot. That again should have been obvious to anyone that knows anything about athletics, let alone basketball. And when was the last time BYU won two games in the NCAA tournament, or went two years in the tournament where they won a game. I don't think Jimmer's arrival with that happening was an accident like Larry Bird leading Indiana State to the Final Four should have indicated Bird was a talent, arguably the best player in NCAA history because what has Indiana State exactly done before OR after his arrival? Jimmer, like Tebow, was popular and people like Reilly went to ridiculous levels to put him down, over analyzing themselves into complete stupidity. Add on the race issue and this analysis even got more insipid.

I'm not saying Jimmer will be Larry Bird but he will be a good pro.

The Jazz blew it by not picking him at 3. He was a proven player, played 4 years on college. Kanter had zero. It will turn out to be the biggest missed opportunity in Jazz history. I hope I am wrong and Kanter has a stellar career. He is a mystery player, and player picked over a known quality and backyard hero.

"But the hype? Oh man. It is Tebow-esque. Let's hope it's not Ricky Martin-esque."

Wouldn't that be AWSOME if Jimmer made a stand like Tebow in his belief in Jesus Christ?

What a phenomenal missionary tool.

Got to admit, the guys impressive!

"In two games. Jimmer (10th pick) has scored 33 points. Kanter will score his 33rd (3rd pick) point sometime in mid-February."

It's way too early to tell if Kanter will be a bust or not. 2 preseason games don't tell you that.

Kanter is a lot closer to averageing 10 rebounds per game than Jimmer is. He also plays much better defense so far.

Just because somebody can't score as good doesn't make them worthless on the court.

Any coach will tell you that scoring isn't everything.

Kanter has also went 2 years basically without playing a game.

Eric Kanter will someday be the answer to the trivia question, "Who did the Utah Jazz draft when they could have drafted Jimmer Fredette?"

I wonder if Jimmer could get his team to change colors to BYU (formerly USU) blue?

Well to be fair proving rick reilly wrong isn't exactly hard to do.

lowly warriors? Oh my! lol...... If that is the case what does that say of the Kings? Are they really the Peasants? I mean seriously! 1) If we beat you we can't be lowly... Secondly, it is only the preseason so really O'Rielly may have been premature in his eating crow..... He hasn't officially started an NBA game until it is regular season. That is when the stats count, that is when it matters most.... There are those 2-0 teams that will start off very rocky... There are those 0-2 teams that will start white hot and make serious noise.... The pre-season games are pay to view practices against teams from other cities in most cases (all save Los Angeles).

Jimmer hasn't proved anything. The season hasn't even started. Examine this a year from now when something is on the table.

I went to the Kings vs Warriors game the other night. As soon as Tyreke Evans learns to kick the ball to Jimmer after he drives and the defense collapses, look out. An Jimmer can definitely get his shot off on his own. I'm not going out too far on a limb when I say that at some point in his NBA career, Jimmer will go off for 50 pts or more in a game.

It's funny how some clueless fans dismiss Jimmer's early success in the NBA because he's only played in a couple of exhibition games. The fact is, Jimmer is now playing against NBA-level talent! Even the "lowly" Warriors and Kings would trash the very best college teams. How many college teams have a complete roster of NBA-level talent?
