There is a dsscrepancy here.
"That said no one knows who made the decision to place pellets, which are clearly visible, in the area."
That statement implies some sort of poisoned bait, then later on the article says no one knows what is causing the deaths. Was there poisoned bait or not?
I remember as a kid growing up in IL, we had the same problem with Starlings every Fall. People would go out at bang pots and pans to scare them out of the trees. You couldn't park a car or walk on the street anywhere there were trees. It was a big mess, but poisoning them is a little over the top and dangerous for other wild and domestic animals. Besides, they only stay for a couple of weeks.
