Comments about ‘House GOP on record opposing tax increases’

Morgan Philpot is willing to stand up for States Rights. Example, the Utah Prairie dog issue which has been plaguing Utah for many years, Philpot will stand up for Utah's rights and fight the federal government and not just sit by while the economy, jobs, property rights and everything else is taken away by federal legislators in D.C. Are you tired of your Governor not doing anything for your state, well elect differently, elect Morgan Philpot 2012!

Legislators said the same thing last year - no new taxes. But, anyone notice their yearly tax notice? That's right, it went up. Legislators simply raised fees instead. Theyll claim they (technically) did not lie to us. But, we're paying more, just as if taxes had been raised. If it walks like a tax and quacks like a tax - it's a tax.

Now if we can get them to call this a 'NO compromise' stand then we might get somewhere.

We also need a "no compromise" downsizing of government and shutdown of some education and other government agency's wasting tax dollars. Primary target cut in education is day care and restaurant services for families and children already getting food stamps and WIC food funds. Closure of schools and day care services during out of school summer breaks.

See, there are ways to eliminate excesses in socialist spending, they just have to have the spine and guts to go after it. Minorities and illegal aliens are so over funded to the point they can retail sell their excessive funds in local retail shops at a discount and bartering.

Really? The best example of Morgan Philpot's accomplishments are Prairie Dogs??? Really? Come on you have to do better than that Morgan.

I don't want to raise taxes either but please GOP don't get ahead of yourself. There may come a time or situation when raising taxes on certain issues could be beneficial. Don't lock yourselves in to some pledge other than pledging to do what is best for the state and the citizens. Not all tax increases are bad.

I'll vote for governor ANYONE who does their best to roll up the welcome mat to illegal aliens.

This would SAVE the state approximately 400 million $$$ per year and have the added bonus of reuniting LEGAL Utahns with jobs they desperately need!
