Smith did not look very sharp in the first half last night. He did do well in the second half. I haven't seen him play much this year but if he gets to the pro bowl, that would be very impressive. I diddn't think his numbers were that good because the 9ers don't pass as much as they run.
There are a few NFL QB's with big stats who would love to be 11-3.
The only numbers that matter are W-L's.
The wolves are always at the door.
The only thing that keeps them at bay are W's.
Congratulations to Alex and Coach Harbaugh.
As a Ute fan, I love Alex Smith, but as a Saints fan, I LOVE Brees! Smith gets Pro Bowl as back up to either Rodgers or Brees because one will be busy in the Super Bowl.
How many pro-bowl spots for the NFC?
I'd say Brees, Rogers and Manning first, and then Alex.
But it's great to see him doing well.

3 per team, but if a QB goes to the Super Bowl they don't go and they also have, I think, 2-3 replacements which still counts as an appearance. Also, highly unlikely, a player selected to the Pro Bowl can decline the invitation.
