Bah! More Liberal Envirowacko propaganda.
The only solution is to do away with the EPA. Worthless government agency that only impedes progress and subtracts from the bottom line of our base of campaign contributors.
If those whining, snivling people would really try hard enough they could surely train themselves to enjoy the extra flavoring and nutritional additives they have in their water. In fact, they probably should be paying extra for all the extras they're getting now for free.

"Still stink?" he asks, after offering up a glass jar filled seconds earlier from the tap.
The cloudy water in the clear jar does stink. It has the distinct odor of gasoline.' - Article
But the combustable water...makes your stomach...stronger!
And if lazy liberals would just...get a job! Then they wouldn't NEED to drink water from the tap...
they could buy their own!
It's socialist companies like WATER that are erroding our morals!
(*BIG disclaimer of sarcasm!)
Cheers.

The only problem I see here is that the company was allowed to drill for gas so close to an inhabited structure. The concept of someone literally having a gas well in their back yard is wrong on so many levels.
The challenge is that natural gas is needed as a transition fuel to a more sustainable, clean energy economy. The intermittency of wind and solar need flexible natural gas plants that can be readily flipped on and off to meet load demands when renewables are not easily available. Gas allows renewables to operate NOW rather than waiting for energy storage technologies to take hold (which could be a decade or so).
Consequently, a solution to fracking and its clean up is crucial for America's transition away from coal and oil (e.g., use of plug in or natural gas cars over traditional gasoline).
We could run the entire nation off of natural gas right now if we wanted to, but the oil cartels have us in a stranglehold.
If you want to drill for natural gas somewhere fine... but at least have the decency to buy out and move whomever lives on the property first.

"We could run the entire nation off of natural gas right now if we wanted to, but the oil cartels have us in a stranglehold."
Oil is used for transportation, natural gas is used for stationary uses - heating homes, generating electricity. The two types of energy do not compete with one another. Because of relatively low energy densities of CNG when compared to petroleum, natural gas is impractical for use for anything other than local transportation needs.
Besides, the oil companies are big players in natural gas, too. Shell actually has more energy reserves in natural gas than in oil.
