150 days for ending a childs life?
This makes me sick. Plenty of parents have babies with colic and acid reflux and they manage not to kill their child. There are also lots of single mothers with little support who also manage to keep their child safe and well.
This sentence sends a scary message to new parents. If you can't cope, kill your child. You'll be out of prison in a few short months and then you'll have the rest of your life to have fun.
It just amases me at such a light sentence. What other steps have the system took to ensure that this young women will be a better parent if and when she gets pregant again. I think the judge needs to take a harder look at the sentence and some laws need to be enacted to assure that this type of sentence doesn't happen again, it's a crying shame the sentence was just a slap on the wrist and she just walk way. It's a mocker of the laws and sends a clear message a young parent can cause the death to their child and get no hard time. I also believe that this judge's actions should be put under review and maybe some action take against the judge. Somebody needs to be held accountable for this miscarriage of judist.
