The Cougars finally found a point guard in Winder who is lightning fast. Harrison is smooth as silk and Abouo had a monster game. Cusick will be a good backup point guard and Roger's instant offense off the bench was also nice to see. Hartsock also had a solid game. Zylstra played much better in his natural positions as a small forward or shooting guard.

This team is really starting to come together and will be even better when Carlino starts playing in mid-December.

Winder played great, deserves to start, turning point was when they quit trying to force it inside and for the first time this season they started passing it and finding the open man. Harrison played great too. Abuo finally started letting the game come to him and was great. Free throw shooting, come on guys this has got to improve.

Give the freshmen an A.

What took so long in getting Winder some minutes?

I don't see him play in practices, but I thought that he was a great "get" when he was first recruited.

Glad to see him shine.

I give the point Guards a B because Cusik's defense was poor. He kept letting their guards blow by him. No personal offense, just reality.

@ParkCoug, that's exactly why Winder came in for him and ended up with most of the minutes.

@Louisiana Cougar, that's what I was asking after the Dixie State game when they killed us from outside with no perimeter defense being played at all. I'm sure he'll be getting lots of minutes now though. It was a great move using the true point guards at the 1 instead of Zylstra.
