"Can you imagine what it would be like if for one day we all forgot ourselves and put others first?"
What a presumption! Who says most people don't put others first most of the time?
In my experience, people are generally courteous, conscientious of others, generous to a fault, helpful and kind. It is the rare exception who is selfish, and that is probably not the way they are all the time, every day.
