I live in Texas. I am the superintendent for a construction company here. I love
karaokeing, shooting guns, and riding motorcycles with my wife and kids. My name
is Pete and I'm a Mormon.
I take photos of taxis in Manhattan that get used on Deseret News, I'm glad that
my iPhone has a pretty good lens, and I'm a Mormon.
I am a relatively wealthy software entrepreneur, family man, and philanthropist
who hates taxi ads and YouTube, and I am NOT a Mormon.
I read the Bible daily and have read the Book of Mormon and I am not a Mormon.
My family back seven generations ago were Mormons. They've been kicked out of
their English society for converting to Mormonism, sailed across 'the pond' one
at a time, died crossing the plains with the Willey Handcart Co., done
prison-time for polygamy, sacrificed and raised large families on dry-farms in
southern Idaho. They are wonderful, dedicated people; family is tight......as long as you remain faithful to the Church. But if you leave on
convictions, answered prayer, heavenly visions or Biblical facts, they will be
devastated. They will still love you, but they will cry, rant, challenge and/or
ignore you. Most will pray for you, still hug you at family reunions, and send
Christmas cards. But when the schism occurs, it is deep and wide.I
had a born-again experience with God that changed me forever. Now I hunger each
day for God's Word, am satiated each day in His Word. I was Mormon for 35
years. I've been a Bible-only, evangelical for 25 years, (this May). I still
love Mormons and will forever be proud of my pioneer heritage and the family
that taught me to love God and to seek the truth.
I love the Lord. I love my family. I know I will be with my Heavenly Father
and my family for eternity. I bake bread and quilt. I am not a mormon.
Awesome to see Brandon Flowers embrace his Mormonism, I love The Killers, i love
the Gospel and I'm a Mormon.
