Lives on in Utah "Town" or "Towns." I say at least 1/2 of that film was made in Payson.
The movie was filmed on 1st East in American Fork, also in and around Lehi, Payson, and Provo, I believe, as well as around Geneva. I was a 9th grader at the time, and I don't remember being aware that a movie was being filmed in our town, but I sure did fall in love with the movie when it was released, and was so thrilled to see so many places I personally knew of in the film. (Still am to this day, when I catch it on TV.)
I told my own 9th grade daughter tonight that someone would actually have to pay me to see the upcoming 'remake'. Ugh!
