I had a friend who was holding her baby and she swung her head back shattering her moms nose. Motherhood really is rough :)
My mother raised 8. Yes, literally 8 little Savages. 6 boys, 2 girls. The youngest girl was a climber and kept falling on her head. Now us boys were rough and tumble too. One of her boys actually jumped off the roof with a bed sheet and said "I caught air. I really did!"
Now a lesson from a father too. If a child keeps head butting you don't talk logically, kids are too young at age 1-4 to understand logic. Grab their head and tell them NO! Don't. It won't damage their little psychies. It will physically teach them not to injure others. If a child thinks of a bubble they think of a soap bubble that you pop. Their mothers or fathers stronger and larger hands stopping them will teach them better than a metaphor.
