Are Utah and Florida better off for having had Urban there? Absolutely!!

    Go Penn State!

Before predicting an outcome, one must consider where the game is being played, the most recent games each team played, and any intangibles---any extra motivation that either side may have.

That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if the Utes win going away on Saturday.

"Opportunity Urban" will do what he thinks is in his interest, even though he tells the press and boosters something else. Depend on it.

urban will go where he has a team that he can immediately win with, then he'll leave as soon as his recruits come of age. i'd like to see him with a long term record with the same team

Wilner's "pick" says Utah won't cover the spread.

But his "straight up" pick is Utah... meaning he thinks they will win the game.

Meyer was earning $4 million/yr at Florida. JoePa makes $500K now. If Penn State wants Urban, they're gonna have to pony up.

In all fairness, Penn State isn't necessarily screwing Paterno. Joe just doesn't seem to care about money. He donated millions toward the construction of the school library; which was substantially more than he earns in salary from the University. Besides, he makes millions from his stock options in Nike.

Luckily, Penn State HAS deep pockets, so it's likely they'll be able to pay Meyer his fair market value. It just might sting a little when paying in one year what they used to pay in nearly a decade.

Actually Wilner's article is confusing. He says Washington is his pick. Then where he says Straight up Winners he puts Utah and then below that he says the point spread is too big and the game will go down to the wire. Usually John Wilner is very polished and clear. This is unusual for him. I like the Utes in a close one.

Actually, Wilner didn't really pick either team to win, he only said it was too many points to give against Washington's offense.

Jon Wilner actually picks the Utes to win the game but not cover. You have to read the whole article.

Better read Mr. Wilner's comments again, Mr. Facer. Wilner picked Washington to beat the oddsmaker's point spread, but he picked Utah to win the game.
