Hold on. Pac 10 plus two and it trails BYU by nine? I cannot believe it.

I graduated from Utah's business school. Obsessed? Life in WVC must be boring.

So you live life making fun of the education at Utah even though you graduated from the U. Liking your own comment. Hilarious. And no. My life isn't boring. Your life on the other hand....

127 of 160 start-ups still operating - that's a pretty good success rate over a decade. I worked in Silicon Valley with several start-ups and some just take off (very few), some linger for years (less than half), and the rest just turn belly-up after their initial or second round funding dries up.

Proud of these utes keeping the channel of technology open to the market place.

I always viewed the recognition of BYU and Utah's program as a win-win for the state and not as an opportunity to poke the other school in the eye.

esquire;
Agreed! There are many great programs at all the Utah schools. It is really too bad that there are so many insecure people who think that trying to belittle others makes them look better.

So what we should be getting out of this is that our state has two excellent entrepreneurship business programs. I completely agree that this should not be used for one fan base poking fun at the other. Congrats to both BYU and Utah for having excellent programs. Although I am a BYU fan, I must admit that the part of this article that impressed me the most is how Utah edged out MIT for first place in the creation of start up companies. That is quite impressive.
