Nice start to your season Mustangs. Hopefully you guys can hold leads this year. It seems like you ran out of gas in several games. I hear you have more depth and not as many going both ways. good luck the rest of the season...well except Saturday. I think Riverton wins 35-13
Your information is wrong. Cole Payne got all 4 of Orems touchdown receptions. Fiso had some good catches but Payne had all the TD's. Watch the game or at least the film.
He's right, #4 (Payne) had all the TD's. Every pass in the end zone was to #4 and for good reason. He killed single coverage. Kudos to him and hopefully the Herriman D-Coordinator will make adjustments next time... got scary at the end. Good thing Francis was unstoppable.
Payne had all of TDs. We moved the ball pretty well against Herriman. Not sure how good they are going to be and not sure how good the Tigers will be. Herriman may just have a weak secondary. They stopped the run pretty good, but it looked like the DBs and LBs got lost a few times in coverage. I do know that Anderson's offensive is tough to figure out, so that might be all it is. We just need a defense that can stop the run. Bernard was awesome. I think he had another TD called back for a holding call. I think the missed a few others on the TE. Herriman didn't throw much and when they did, the WR dropped the ball. I guess with that running game, they might not have to run. Herriman had a good crowd and the fans are really supportive of their school.
Actually, according to the stats on the D-News, Herriman threw for 182 yards. I remember the TE dropping the one pass, but he caught two others. No, they did not need to throw it much, but I thought they were actually pretty effective when they did. You are right about Orem's offense, they are tough to stop! They do a great job with that spread...they are gonna score a lot of points this year.
