I think this is a really good cause to help. But let's get real here. 5-year old kindergarten aged children are not going to notice whether another child's clothing is new or not!!! Egads. They wouldn't even know they are "supposed" to have new clothes for school unless their parent planted that idea in their head!!!
This is a good program, but where do the shelter kids go to school? The neighborhood school for the shelter is a uniformed school where most kids run around advertising Wal-Mart then looking like individuals.
Kindergarten children do notice when someone looks different. This is a fabulous program. Even kids know that you feel better and do better when you look better. People treat you different. Thank you to all the people who made this happen.
