This article is about 3 weeks late and after the fact. Utah does not have a good track record of warning people of these outbreaks and food or safety recalls.
Utah's consumer departments feel that a 10 second blurp on a TV news report is sufficient warning. These outbreaks and contamination and safety recalls should have a more through saturation of information at the onset of this kind of information.
Laws should be written to require all food and retail stores post notices of these events and if they are involved in recalls or safety products sold in their stores. We are talking lives on these issues and they are more important than bottom line deception and lies avoiding the issue and leaving consumers endangered.
