Comments about ‘Warren Jeffs walks out of sentencing hearing’

Add up all the wives, all the young girls he raped, all of the families he broke up, all the young boys he threw out of the compound, all the years of welfare fraud(and any other things they may bring up). Total that. Voila! Too many years to even count. There is his prison sentence.

Perhaps prison is too harsh... this guy obviously needs serious mental help. Put him in an institution for the rest of his life.

I disagree.

He made threats when he is being sentenced. He is a clear and obvious threat to girls over the age of 12 years old.

I will NEVER understand lieniency in situations like this.

I have the perfect insitution for someone who has sex with minors and then tries to hide behind God. Threatening you with God...

The only difference between Warren Jeffs and Brian David Mitchell is Mitchell only had one follower.

After they are done with him they need to direct their attention toward the women who let this happen. I understand that these women are victims as well but after the legal age of 18 they should be held responsible to protect the children.
Lots of criminals claim religious freedom as an excuse. Hold the women accoutable and maybe things will start to change. Also, these children need safe homes. I think we should worry about the children now.

No, he is putting on an act. He is hoping to make himself into a martyr to his followers.

In prison he can get all the "Heavenly Comfort" he wants.

Lock him up right next to B. D. Mitchell. Let them be "penpals." I bet they could have some amazing conversations.

In prison he's still going to be able to send out mail and have contact with the outside world and his "followers". In a mental institution he would have none of that.

Warren, prison offers you the perfect prophetic opportunity. Once you are assigned to your prison cell, order the walls to come tumbling down on your command like any self respecting biblical prophet...

If the judge takes into consideration how humble and contrite he is that should shorten his sentence to 118 years.

Sentence him to life in prison with no possibility of ever getting out, and make him serve his entire sentence in the general prison population.

2 life sentences...one for each child sounds about right. No Parole and they should also make a sentencing provision that stops him from running his church from Prison.

Be advised, You being the meat in the Court room you have no control.
There is no Justice in the Courts.

Part of the awesome power of agency to choose is information. Sadly, this enclave of 10,000 do not understand the importance of learning, growing, and expanding the mind with good things. Men and women are children of God, who loves them. It brings nothing but shame on anything good in the world when there exists pockets of His children held in slavery and oppression on so many levels. How do we get the message to the 10,000 of their potential once they break free of this tyrant? The adults should be able to know better, but sadly, these innocent children will struggle with learning their purpose and potential for many years as they struggle to undo the many falsehoods under which they have been raised. 119 years would be a light sentence, and I'm sure God's judgement will be more just.
