Barlow sounds like an incredible individual. Thanks for representing the state of Utah. It took 18 months to find a permanent replacement...would this ever happen in the private sector. Another example of inefficiency in the US Govt.
Superb choice! Why does the DesNews gives the impression that Chaffetz was the one who "forced" the President to make the appointment? Grandstanding?
Looks like a great appointment, but the Utah Dems are left wondering about Obama.
Utah Democrats would cry if they got buried in a brand new casket. Politics shouldn't matter in this case. Republican, Democrat, who cares. Just as long as they enforce the law, aren't an environmental nut, nor so uber-liberal that they don't prosecute the law fairly.
For many presidential appointments, the political affiliation of the appointee shouldn't be a major consideration. Nice to have a president who realizes that. Congrats to Mr. Barlow.
