$2000, heh. If I were those homeowners I'd be lawyering up and looking to get more than that from someone, either the city or the contractor repairing the drain.
They probably have to sign a legal document stating they will not seek anymore compensation from damages before they recieve the $2000.
Just wondering first of all what the dog in the story picture that lost 7 pounds have to do with the Murray flooding? Second, I know a lot of the home owners. Some of them are into their home costs of over $6,000. $2,000 is a slap in the face. From what I hear from ALL of them effected is a whole and entirely different story than the County is telling. Deseret News: please look into this story further. Ask the neighbors who have been following the repairs etc that occured in May on Memorial Day. You will probably have a different outcome.
