NO! How did that just happen!?! Talk about an unbiased analyst, next you should have Sharif Shaw analyze the Cougars.

Maybe the dnews should have Max hall give his unbiased analysis.

Didn't Blaine Fowler work for the Mountain? Didn't he play for BYU? Maybe we could ask President Obama to show me how to balance my checkbook? Maybe we could ask Hugh Hefner to teach us about the BYU honor code.

So ridiculous.

At worst I see a 9-3 record this year, but 10-2 is my bet. We came at a good time with USC still reeling and not playing oregon and stanford.

No surprise we're favored to play in the Pac 12 championship game.

Can't wait for the season!

Umm.. Maybe you should sit down for this.
On PAC-12 Media day, Utah was actually picked to finish 3rd in the South Division and 7th overall in the PAC-12.

Chris, I appreciate your optimism, but I just don't have the evidence to predict 10-2 this year. I expect 8-4 first year out of the gate. Too many unknown items between our own team, and the huge step up in schedule.

I expect the offense to struggle early, defense will keep us in games, then the offense to gain momemtum as the year goes along.

I'll take 8-4 any day of the week.

Well if you really want a laugh tune in to 1320 a.m. right now and you will get to hear steve tate analyzing BYU. Not a bit of bias in that homer's breakdown.

I wish we had Todd Christensen commenting on the Utes or his son or Paul James.

Wow, and I thought some of the fans on the BYU side were delusional.

How can anyone make an accurate prediction as to how Utah will do in the PAC-12?
Outside of Cal, UCLA, and Oregon St, Utah has yet to beat a member of the PAC-12 since Whittingham arrived.
This will be a whole new world for Utah and its fans, just be ready for some bumpy roads ahead. The PAC-12 is one of the most exciting and competitive leagues in the country.

A 7-5 record going into the Bowl season would be a great first season. Give it 2-3 years before the coaching staff, and athletes become acclimated and begin to contend for a conference Championships. Luckily you are down in the weaker South Conference and don't have to face my Ducks or Stanford next season, you would be in for a very rude welcoming to the PAC.

Where Utah will stand this December is a complete mystery, and any predictions are simply wishful guesses or biased trash talk.

Montana State (definite win)
USC (probable win)
BYU (probable win)
Washington (definite win)
Arizona State (probable win)
@Pittsburgh (probable loss)
@California (probable loss)
Oregon State (probable win)
@Arizona (probable loss)
UCLA (definite win)
@Washington State (definite win)
Colorado (definite win)

I predict a loss at Arizona, and the other two losses somewhere in the Pitt, Cal, OSU stretch. 9-3 final record.

What a shame a PAC12 potential champion will receive almost no TV coverage, except the one game against BYU!

It's like asking Bachman to comment on Obama's job performance.

As a matter of facts, I'd rather hearing Bachman's comments on Obama than Dr Fowl's comments on Utes.

@mountainman...

You mean the BYU game is the only one that's gonna be televised this season?

I must've gotten bad information from the utes official schedule I guess.

Too funny!

More comments about Luck's beard than Jordan Wynn. LOL!

So in reality, you are predicting a 7-5, 6-6 (realistic, rather than "probable") record for the Utes this year?

I can see that as a best case scenario, and nothing to hang their heads at considering the schedule...

I can also see where they might not be bowl eligible.

How's bout we wait and see what happens on the field?

Let's not speculate fellow Ute fans. We are a humble program that has great potential and made it to the big time. Please no outlandish predictions!!!! We are not BYU, or their fans, who are simply ridiculous and chest thump 24/7. Let us hope for the best. Go Utes!

I sit hoping for the best....but......how healthy is Wynn really? Our defense has many new people in the secondary and all new running backs? I say we speak less and cheer loud for the Runnin' Utes when the season gets underway! Go Utes!!!!!

I will say it again, 2 years no moe bcs, independents and litigation will be the end. Money contracts by networks etc will lock the big bucks in someone else not the bcs.

Utes will be just ok, too many unknowns on their team and the others. Fun to predict but hard make happen when we aren't playing. Let the players do their thing and we enjoy their efforts.
