This was an extraordinary event with all sharing a love of Emma Smith and her work to bring hymns to our worship. The voices of so many who love the Savior filled the tabernacle with such spirit ... it was a powerful experience!
We are talking about planning another event for next year! Maybe sooner!
I think the title to this article should read, "Four churches celebrate Pioneer Day with music in Iowa"

Sounds like a wonderful ecumenical event. Could someone please explain to me something about the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Restoration Church of Jesus Christ of LDS? I know about the Fundamental LDS Church but not these others. I know about the former RLDS church, now The Community of Christ, but I have never heard of these other two. Thanks to whomever can help me get educated about these.
I did a little research on the restoration church of jesus christ of latter day saints and the remenant church. From what I understand they are breakoffs of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints now known as the Community of Christ church. They both said they were in a crisis situation and didnt agree with some of the ideals of the community of christ. They broke off around 1999-2000. They are both based in Independence, MO. To Terry in Bellevue, it would have been so wonderful to go to that but I live to far away. It sounded so wonderful.
