As an ex member of the FLDS cult. I know that Warren considers himself to be above all the judges and lawyers and he can't believe this is happening to him. In his mind it's all a test from god to see what he will do. Firing all of his attorneys because "The defense is not pure enough" in his mind means they are not worthy to defend him. He thinks god will protect his chosen man. Well, so far his tactics have kept him from being convicted in Utah, Arizona, and Nv. But Texas is far more strict than those other states. The prosecutors actually dropped the charges in the 3 previous states simply to let him go to trial in Texas because they want to see severe justice done. So now Warren is going to let them do whatever they want to him and go down like Joseph Smith did. The government isn't locking him up from his cult. They are keeping him alive so that the FLDS can't get a new leader. That will effectively disband them better than killing him, which he definitely deserves.

You have an interesting perspective. I think that you are right about him trying to go down as a martyr. It seems he's betting that the courts will make him one. I think he is blind to what really will happen. The state of Texas will not give him what he desperately wants, and that will drive him crazy. I see him going to prison for a long, long time and the state keeping him healthy for a long, long time. I see the FLDS disintegrating over a long time as well, being worn down by imprisoned leadership.
Sounds like just as long as Warren has his phone cards, he's good to go!
Warren Jeff's Texas trial gives me a reason to read the paper every day. I can't believe the daily stunts he pulls. Judge Walther has my admiration for being blunt and to the point with Mr. Jeff's. There are so many who have been harmed since Mr. Jeff's took over the church - casting men out and reassigning wives, the lost boys, closing the schools, marrying ever younger women - justice needs to be served! The pictures of the Texas Rangers sure are handsome in their cowboy hats. Entertainment at it's best.
his self defense is bound to fail ? so whats wrong with that ? soceity is better off without him and others like him
Jeffs is on trial on bigamy charges. At least the people here get it, but others have tried to claim the chages are other things. The charges are just that he broke the law against multiple marriages at once. The age of those he was married to may be used to seek to influence the outcome, but the crime he is charged with is bigamy.
