It was kind of crass for a tv reporter to comment on tonight's fireworks at Libery Park by saying...what a wonderful night for the smell of gunpowder in the air! Did he really say what we just heard, only a few days since the Aurora massacre?


Thank you for the pioneer day information. However I must point out that the information for Uintah county (Vernal) is incorrect.
The information shows the activities to be on the 23rd when in fact it is all on the 24th. The phone number for further information shows 801 in front of our area code which is the 435. The times are also wrong and there are no fireworks scheduled at dusk. The correct information is as follows:
Vernal: July 24, Pancake Breakfast 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. $3.00 per plate located at Colton Pavilion, 900 W. 350 North; 10 a.m., parade, Lineup on 100 south 700 West area, route follows Main Street to 300 East; No fireworks at dusk.
