Luigi is going to have a big year. He is a ton of fun to watch. I hope he does the jig again in the end zone.

Two great athletes on what is going to be a great team this year. I think Di Luigi has greater athleticism than he has had a chance to show, even though he has already had a nice career.

Go Cougs!

Oh, my. This will ruffle some feathers.

Another tough early schedule, but if Jake can lead BYU through September unscathed, this could be an historic year for BYU football. Regardless, I think it's going to be a very fun year and I'm very excited to see how BYU fares as an Independent.

Have you seen all the QBs on the list? And if you think anyone from the universities here in Utah will actually be a finalist for either award, you are drinking some serious homer kool-aid.

How is the Doake watch list selected?? almost 60 players show up on the list....so it must not be very difficult to get "watched". Seems like a big waste of time.

The same thing was being said about Jimmer about this time last year.

J.J. doubtful; but Reynolds and Heaps could be legitimate candidates for national awards.

I guess Legacy Hall will need to make more room! No doubt where the best athletes go to play in state...BYU! This will be an Historic year for BYU.

hedgehog,

Theer are NO Ute players on any list. You should pack it up and leave. You can make no argument.

and... GO COUGARS

Wynn is also on the Davey O'Brien list. Neither Wynn nor Heaps will win the award. However, it's a nice compliment to appear on the list.

DNews,

When do the season previews begin? You're waaaaay behind the pace set by other respectable newspapers around the country.

Jordan Wynn is on the O'Brien Watch List? That ought to tell you just how "hard" getting onto the watch list is. I am as big a Utah fan as there is, but even I can admit Wynn does not belong there. He failed us against top competition last year (injured or not. If he was injured he acted selfishly in hiding it from the team).

Actually, PB&J, Wynn is also on the Davey O'Brien watch list. You should check your facts before speaking out of turn (like you usually do).

Another ignorant BYU fan? How many are there? Here are Utah players on national watch lists:

Jordan Wynn - O'Brien (QB)
Chaz Walker - Lombardi (Off. & Def Linemen, Linebackers)
Tony Bergstrom - Outland (Interior Linemen)
DeVonte Christopher - Biletnikoff (WR)

I don't see any BYU, Utah, or USU players winning any national awards. Heaps maybe has chance in next two years, but not this year. There are much more talented QB's on the list.

I think Reno Mahe is on somebody's list...

I am guessing they wait until everyone else has finished so they can review it and provide a summary for us.

Portland Trailblazers...

Your uninformed opinion is a great example of how so many haters on this board run their mouth all day, stating opinion as fact when they haven't even bothered to check the lists.

Wynn is on the list too.

Now that you've been informed, I'm really interested to hear you explain your incorrect trash talk.

You too Y daddy, Y graddy.

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen the same thing from some of the u fans out there. Let's not just spin this to try to make it look like it comes from just the Y fans.

Just look at one particular individual who thinks he is still in High School and writing a research paper with all his "footnotes". The problem is that most, upwards of 95% of his quotes come from VERY biased sources. They are not facts or even close to facts, but because he has his "footnote", he thinks that somehow it is a fact and will stick by it even if it is proven wrong.

Just say'n....

The list is selected by past college quarterbacks who have been successful.

Literally took me less than a minute to Google this and find out.

cheesyman,

hmmmm, I'm guessing you go to bYu...you know, the non "research" school. Might want to "google" this one more time and this time maybe take two minutes on your research. Get back to me when you think you got the correct answer..K?

hmmm, I'm guessing you're still working on the English 99R class; you might want to start with the correct spelling of the award. Get back to me when you think you figured that out.
