Jace Salcido was a most excellent Oliver. He did a terrific job. What a heavenly voice, and delightful actor. He also did a marvelous job along with his sister as the two children in South Pacific. Although Jace is 11, he looked like a much younger child which made his performance all the more endearing. Michael Ballam played a delightful Fagin--perfect for Ballam's aging voice and talents for acting. The days of Ballam doing a successful lead role may be gone but his acting and singing in aging character roles is coming into full bloom. This is the type of show I want to bring the whole family to, introducing children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents--even cousins aunts and uncles to the delightful entertainment of live musical theater. Did I say the whole family? Yes, and I meant every word of it! May I have some more please?!
