This is a GREAT idea! I would love to have periodic updates of the progress of the construction of ALL of the temples! I remember when the Nauvoo temple was under construction there was a camera that you could get to on the web to watch. I used to have this in the background most days at work. Even though not much happened in any given day, it was reassuring to know that things were taking shape.

What is the chance that a monthly update on each of the temples could be published? What a great and inspiring service this would be!

But where's artists rendition of Philly Temple? I heard it was shown at the MTChoir concert but haven't seen it yet.

There was a lot of head-rattling over the Phoenix Temple. A neighborhood group protested all kinds of things about the temple. Most recently they fussed about parking. (The new Target store in WVC will have fewer parking stalls than the NIMBYs wanted the Temple to have.) A group leader who complained about the height of the spire turned out to live a mile away and have a huge electrical pole in his backyard.

But the Church sent a master negotiator, evidently, and an understanding with the neighbors was reached. Site preparation work is currently underway.

This article has been in the LDS email update for 3 days now. It is time for something new.

The rendering of the Philadelphia temple should NOT have been shown at the choir concert. It will be revealed at the groundbreaking, whenever that happens.
