That is the only chance in every 4 years than makes Iowans proud. Look who they picked last time, One of the biggest liars in the American history. So Romney decided to forgo the Mighty Iowa is a smart choice, and Huntsman is smart enough to follow Romney.
A poor showing in Iowa for Huntsman should he decide to change his mind and campaign there would likely hurt his campaign and waste precious campaign resources where it can best help his campaign. Coming back to Utah for the Governor's convention can't hurt Huntsman either and it actually reflects a certain strategic decision not to write off Utahns, even as Romney appears to assume that he doesn't need to come. On the whole, considering Huntsman is behind with fewer resources, it appears he's running a smart and fiscally prudent campaign.
I'd encourage all of them to skip Iowa. What makes Iowa so special that they think they can pick the nominee's?
I've been to Iowa. It's a nice place but it's not heaven, it's just Iowa.
