I'm with IDC. I want to see how independence works. I do not want any invites
for now. If independence works as well as it appears it is going to then I'm not
sure I'd ever want to see BYU in a conference again for football.
The Big 12 might have some appeal to ND as the Big 12 allows teams to have their
own network and also divides up revenues based on contribution to the TV
contract. ND draws well but TX would tend to beat them most of the
time in a conf championship. I am not sure if the AZ teams would
leave the PAC given the new TV contract but USC would be nuts not to get a deal
like TX. USC is still subsidizing the PAC with the new contract to a large
degree. BYU and AF make logical sense for the Big 12 North but logic
is not always the driver.
Not gonna sugar coat it, withdrawal from Jimmermania will be tough. A 12-step
program is needed. Whoever brings it first is in a position to make some
coin--lots of recoverers out here.Well, wait...already seeing a bit
of a silver lining. A team moving the ball around on offense and playing
man-to-man defense wouldn't be so bad, would it?

"You must be referring to someone else. I rarely read articles
that are solely devoted to BYU" Blue roundup: Bracing for life
without Jimmer Fredette Dutchman | 12:21 p.m. May 24, 2011 [first post]"...the Big 12-2 will not expand without adding Notre Dame,
period."Obviously a shot at BYU concerning possible Big 12
expansion plans, otherwise, why would you even bother reading and posting on an
article under the heading of "Blue roundup"?
Dutchman"Texas AD DeLoss Dodds said in an interview with Chip
Brown in September 2010 that the Big 12-2 will not expand without adding Notre
Dame, period."Wasn't it Chip Brown who was tweeting in June
2010 that the PAC 16 was all but a done deal?In November, 2011, when
the ACC, SEC, Big Ten and PAC 12 are all playing conference championship games,
and the Big 12 is sitting on the sidelines feeling left out, you don't think
there might be just a pang or two of jealousy on the part of the Big 12,
ESPECIALLY, if an 11-1 Oklahoma gets passed over for the BCS championship game
in favor of 12-1 LSU and a 12-1 Ohio State who did win their conference
championship games?Sorry to burst your bubble about cast-in-stone
predictions, but the only thing that's certain is change.
I will never get over Jimmer. My only hope is JimmerJazz. (is that one
word?)I am really looking forward to independence. I would actually
be sad if a Big 12 invite came today and Independence was scrapped. I want to
see how it all works out. I may not feel that way in a year but I can't wait to
see how it all comes together.
Is Harold Camping really ChrisB or Hedge? With all the inacurate predictions and
the fact that no one has seen them together anywhere, it makes you wonder.Things that make you go hmmmmmmm?
Can Geico really save you 15% or more on car insurance? Can Jimmer really hit
from way out there?Provo plans on renaming the street next to
Jimmer's apartment Tre'von...just so Jimmer can continue to cross over Tre'von
after the season is over Jimmer Fredette can speak French... in
Can't wait until people get over 'Jimmer', it is really annoying.
This WR out of Calgary is intriguing. He seems on the small side, but extremely
quick and athletic.
Life without Jimmer? Is that even possible? (for BYU (basketball)Hope so.BYU won't have another Jimmer for a long time, quite
likely. So, we'll just have to get used to great teams under Coach Rose.
Right?Odds are BYU's basketball team will be quite competitive in
its first year in the WCC. The Euro trip will help with that.A great
TEAM of good players is in BYU's future, so they might even get further than
Jimmer did in the NCAAs in a few years.
Texas AD DeLoss Dodds said in an interview with Chip Brown in September 2010
that the Big 12-2 will not expand without adding Notre Dame, period. And we all
know who runs the Big 12-2 conference. Texas uses Chip Brown to put out the
information they want others to hear. Also, Dodds hated the conference title
game because it usually involved Texas and was played at a neutral site where
Texas fans had to pay big bucks.
