Good article Tequitia. Service, love and charity IS the Gospel. Sometimes the other trappings of the Church take so much of our time and energy that we have little left to do what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is really all about. I hope we are making this a central part of our lives and not confining it to our family and ward members.
I also think it is important to do this soley out of love. If someone asks us about ourselves or our beliefs then we can certainly take that opportunity. But if they have no interest or do not ask then I would hope we continue to serve them simply because it is the way we should be living the Gospel.
This is a very nice article with a very real warmth to it that completely takes the focus off of ourselves and instead places it were it truly belongs--on helping to fill the needs of others.
What I like about this article too, is how it compliments this weeks lesson on "Mssionary Work" from the *Gospel Principles* manual.
Very nice insights!
