I recently enjoyed a tour of Mesoamerica sites lead by a native, LDS guide who had been guiding largely LDS tours for several years. It was very interesting and informative. I wish I had more than the one day to see the various sites.

I occassionally overheard non-LDS guides speaking to groups of tourists about the same ruin our object we were observing and it was clear that there were very different interpretations being made about the same object or ruin.

Beautiful area and fascinating interpretations from our guide as well as the non-LDS guides. I assume reading a book like this before embarking on an LDS tour would make the experience even that more interesting.

I assume there are similar tours around the Great Lakes area? That would be interesting as well.

This book seems interesting.

Idahocoug: Yes, there are tours through "Legacy Tours and Travel."
