And could we all just please SLOW DOWN through these construction zones. There will be so many people "not from around here" traveling our roads this summer. Many times the diverted lanes, detours, whatever that are familiar to us are terribly confusing to visitors, especially at a high rate of speed. Patience, people, PATIENCE.

Utah has two seasons. Winter and ROAD CONSTRUCTION.

What gets me is that UDOT can't work on 1 project at a time till it is finished. They have to cover the entire area with a plethora of construction zones and tie up traffic all over the state for months at a time.

I drive past miles of barrels and closed off lanes when the construction crew is working a tenth mile stretch all the way down at the other end of the road. There's no need to bottleneck all that traffic, this could be done much more efficiently.

I realize it's all the result of good lobbying by construction companies. Half the roads they are working on don't need improvements at all and they ignore some of the most beaten up roads in the state.
