Wish it wasn't so expensive and then with flights, makes it cost over $1000.00 Maybe they can do that in the midwest at some point, cause not affordable to send someone to AZ. Would love to send my step granddaughter, but just not able to. Hope those girls that do go, let it help them to grow and develop.

I think it is great that this type of conference is held for young ladies - it seems to be a YW version of BYU women's conference. I love that service projects are part of it as well - that really sets it apart from other programs, in my opinion.

My only complaint for this article was the very short and limited description of the practical classes offered - seemed to be about how to dress, accessorize, and scrapbook. Now, I know those aren't really the only things offered (and it is important to learn how to dress modestly and look nice today), and probably a lot of what the writer wrote got edited out before printing it, but I was kind of disappointed that those were the only ones listed in the single paragraph that mentioned specific application classes. Just gives the impression that for a girl to be successful and happy in life, she should be focused on how she looks and how to preserve that "look" for posterity. It's a nit pick on a short article, I know, but I was excited to read about the conference and that paragraph kind of made me sad.
