Great article about Brent Peterson. I enjoyed watching him coach the Portland Winterhawks to the Memorial Cup Championship in 1998. He attended church in the same building as my sister and I was shocked to see him sitting in the chapel during Sacrament meeting one Sunday. A few years later, I was in Seattle attending a hockey game against Portland when I looked over to my right side, and a few sections over was Brent sitting there alone watching the game. My wife and I went over and said "hello". We explained we were LDS and fans from Portland. He was friendly and said he was scouting as Nashville came by to play Vancouver the night before. I am glad to hear he is working with Brian Grant, one of the more likeable Portland Trailblazers. Brent is probably the greatest LDS influence in the world of ice hockey. Sad to hear he won't be coaching anymore. I wish him the best and always root for Nashville in support of Brent's coaching career.
Hang in there. You have the support and love of many many people. You have been and always will be a leader. People will help.
